Osun Babes talented forward, Omodele Kemi, is excited over her debut goal on Thursday evening against Rivers Angels in Port Harcourt.
The young prospect was featured by Liadi Bashir in the second half of the Match Day 3 of the Nigeria Women Premier League and played so well to impress the fans and her teammates with a goal.
Speaking to thenwfl.com, the 16 year-old noted that, she knew it was just a matter of time before she scored her first goal for the ‘Omoluabi Queens.’
“It was a difficult game and I gave my all when I was called upon to play. The coach told me I can do it and am glad I scored my first NWPL goal.
“Everytime I got the ball, I just wanted to help the team because we were two goals down and needed to reduce the goal deficit, when the goal came in, I couldn’t believe it. I thought it was a dream.
“Its not about scoring but doing it against Rivers Angels and dribbling past Tochukwu Oluehi to score my first goal even makes it more special and memorable”. She told thenwfl.com.
“I believe the goal will boost my confidence and make me want to score more for the team.” She concluded.
