Bayelsa Queens emerged third yesterday with a total 2 points after their goalless draw against defending champion, Rivers Angels.
The Edwin Okon girls had a poor run and were dethroned after winning the title three times in succession.
Rivers had only one point from three matches, scored only one goal in the Super 4.
Nasarawa Amazons coach, Seyi Olaoye, said this morning in a pre final chat, that it was time for his girls to win the title in 2017 after emerging third in the 2015 season and second place in 2016. So, it’s time to emerge champions.
The final match will be watched by the Deputy Governors of Edo and Nasarawa States, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu and Silas Agara respectively.

The last time a women’s football game was played under floodlights in Nigeria was at the Bauchi 2000 National Sports Festival Women’s Football event final between Edo State and Cross Rivers. Edo won 2-1.
