As the Nigeria Women Premier League relegation play-off kicks-off on Wednesday evening in Abuja, Invincible Angels of Gboko captain, Atetan Rejoice, has insisted that the club must stay calm and optimistic as they bid to end up remaining in the premier league.
In a chat with the league’s website, www.thenwfl.com the experienced player noted that they impressed during by the league proper but unfortunately couldn’t escape from playing the relegation playoff.
“We never expected to do well in our debut season at the topflight. Everyone thought we wouldn’t even pick a point because we were playing against some of the biggest teams in the NWPL.
“We are confident of victory against Dream Stars Ladies and every other player in the team wants nothing but victory. It is surely our dream to remain in the premier league.
“I will want my teammates to put in their best on Wednesday. That’s the only way we can achieve our aim. We hope to be fast enough and score as many goals as possible. We need to take our chances as we see them. We want to play good football as well as winning. She concluded.
