The last day of the 2019 Nigeria Women Premier League saw some interesting and surprising results. Heartland Queens defeating Super 4 contender Edo Queens by three goals to two in Okigwe, FC Robo molesting Osun Babes 4-2 at home and Rivers Angels notched a 1-0 win over rival Delta Queens in Porthacourt.

#CHIAMAKA NNADOZIE (Rivers Angels, Goalkeeper)

Boosted her team’s chances of picking the maximum point against a very determined Delta Queens, who needed a victory to qualify for the Super 4. A clean sheet and a great performance on Thursday earned her this spot.

#IDIKE JIRORO (Heartland Queens, RB)

Naturally left footed, but will play from right full back here. The full back scored and assisted as her side deservedly won Edo Queens in Okigwe.


The gifted left full back did all she could but her side lost 3-2 in Okigwe. She helped shut down the likes of Bright Nnaji and Anastasia Uzoegbo.

#EVELYN NWABUOKU (Rivers Angels) (DFM)

Another great performance from the legendary midfielder. She marshalled the midfield of the ‘Jewels of Rivers’ on a very difficult day. Her lone goal ensured her team got qualification for the Super 4.

#FRANCISCA TESKE (Adamawa Queens) (CB)

Made the most blocks and most clearances as her side picked a 1-1 draw at the Agege Township Stadium on Wednesday. Though Adamawa Queens conceded a goal for the first time, Teske gave a great performance.

#BAKENDJE REINE (Abia Angels) (CB)

The Cameroonian🇨🇲 helped shut down the nearly unstoppable Damilola Koku as Abia Angels earned a 1-0 victory over Ibom Angels. The lioness roared back each time the ‘Orange Ladies’ forwards tried to score.


Though her side lost at home, but her performance against FC Robo was superb. She was everywhere but her brace couldn’t save her side. The left footed foward is surely one for the future.

ABIODUN DEBORAH (Nasarawa Amazons) (AM)

A young player who has everything going for her. She played so well against Bayelsa Queens in Yenagoa and even scored the equaliser.

#ANJOR MARY (Bayelsa Queens) (CF)

The ‘Restoration Girls’ goal poacher continued her red-hot form with a goal in her team’s 2-2 draw against Nasarawa Amazons in Yenagoa. The former Osun Babes forward now has five goals in her last six matches.

#ABIDEEN SULIAT (Sunshine Queens) (CM)

Her superlative performance ensured her side won Kaduna Queens 2:0 in Akure. She was unarguably the best player on the pitch of play and showed class all through the game.


Gifted with a wonderful left foot, Monday Gift scored one and made another assist as her side won Osun Babes 4-2 in Osogbo. She is one of the most gifted player in the league.

#Eucharia Uche (Heartland Queens) (Manager)

She tutored her side to a 3:2 victory over a well determined Edo Queens, who needed a win to get to the Super 4. The win also ensured her side escaped going for the relegation play-off.Nigeria
