The 2019 Nigeria Women Football Pro-League resumes on the 4th of October 2019 with four teams jostling for the two spaces available at the elite league.

Pelican Stars, Police Machine FC, Moje Queens FC and Olori Babes will all battle for supremacy at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja with kick off starting on Friday.

The NWFL Pro-League break was filled with exciting transfers and new introductions such as former Police Machine FC winger Glory Archibong joining rivals Moje Queens, Joy Okoronkwo of Sure Babes moved away from Ilorin to Calabar to join Pelican Stars.

The NWFL second-tier league is definitely a division littered with abundance of talents and here took a look at five players to watch in the forthcoming 2019 NWFL Pro-League.

All eyes will be on the young Chioma Oliseh who has the potential to be one of the best player in the future. Her ability to read games and give decisive passes to attackers is one of her gifts. At just 15years old, Chioma led the women soccer team of Delta State to the just concluded National youth games in Ilorin.

She announced herself to the Warri fans when she scored a stunning goal against Moje Queens at the 2019 AITEO Cup in Akure, where her team won by 3-2.

The big question is that will Chioma lead ‘Olori Babes’ to premiership glory when the Pro-League starts on Friday?

#JOY OKORONKWO (Pelican Stars)

Joy Okoronkwo was fantastic for Sure Babes last year in the premier league, but her two goals and two assists wasn’t enough for the Ilorin side as they got relegated.

She joined 7 times Nigeria Nigeria Women Premier league Champions Pelican Stars, who also got relegated at the end of last season and has become one of their best players.

She was instrumental as Pelican Stars got to the Quarter-Finals of the 2019 AITEO Cup.

The former Abia Angels forward is seen as one of the players that can make Pelican Stars dream come true as the NWFL Pro-League kicks off in some coming days.

Glory Archibong dazzled for Police Machines FC last year, but her side failed to get promoted ahead of Dreamstars Ladies at the 2018 Southern-Conference of the NWFL Pro-League.

Dubbed ‘the new Joy Bokiri’ Glory Archibong left Uyo to Erin-Ile to join Werder-Bremen of Germany affiliated side Moje Queens and will be playing for them in the 2019 NWFL Pro-League.

She is fast on the ball, uses her both legs very well and score a lot of goals, reason she was bought by the C.E.O of Moje Queens Chief Tala Awolola.

#ETIM EDIDIONG (Police Machine FC)

A striker that finishes at ease. Etim Edidiong is perhaps the most important player for the Uyo based team and a player they seemingly will be relying on in Lokoja.

Police Machine FC of Uyo head coach, Oladipupo Seriki intends to make full use of this talented striker at the NWFL Pro-League and with the assistance of Chinaka Godwin and Linda Nnaocha and others, the Police Machine teams should spring out surprises at the second tier league.

Kafayat Shittu was voted best player at the 2018 NWFL Pro-League and will be looking forward to replicate what she did last season.

Gifted with a wonderful right foot, great eyes for beautiful passes and one who could determine the tempo of a game. The fair in complexioned player truly a great talent.

Moje Queens have a serious talent on their hands. One who could be the poster-girl for the Erin-Ile based side at the 2019 NWFL Pro-League.
