Dream Stars Ladies scored four goals past Heartland Queens at the Agege Township Stadium on Thursday morning in the week three encounter of the 2019 Nigeria Women Premier League.
The hosts did not have so many chances but were clinical in front of goal scoring four goals in a blistering encounter.
The talented DreamStars Ladies has had an impressive first season at the topflight despite losing their last two matches to Edo Queens and Adamawa Queens respectively.
Zirike Elizabeth opened scoring in the 23rd minute through a well placed shot which beat the Heartland Queens goalkeeper, before Oladeji Bunmi made it 2-0 in the early stages of the second half.
In a relatively one sided affair, the Bankole Olowokere ladies remained comfortably in front after a dominant first half , but on few occasions they managed to get in behind their visitors, they met an inspired defence line of Heartland Queens.
Things got worse for the Owerri-based ladies when Dreamstars captain, Judith Nwaogwu, and Animashaun Aishat scored in the 74th minute and 77th minute respectively making the final scoreline 4-0 for the ‘Pride of Lagos’.
Meanwhile, Dreamstars Ladies head coach, Olowokere Bankole, has labeled his players ‘Super Women’ after their impressive 4-0 victory over Heartland Queens on Thursday.
An elated Olowokere told thenwfl.com that he wasnt surprised with the scoreline because he has so much believe in his players.
The Lagos-based coach heaped praises on all his players, saying they really impressed and deserve to be hailed for scoring as many as four goals and also playing particularly very well.
The ‘Pride of Lagos’ netted three goals during a fine second half after Zirike Elizabeth had given the home side the lead in the 23rd minute.
