Peace Ikerebe has been appointed as the referee for this year’s NWFL Champions Shield. The 26 year old will take charge of the match between 2018 AITEO Cup Champions Rivers Angels and league Champions Bayelsa Queens on Saturday in Yenagoa.

Ikerebe will be joined at the Samson Siasia Stadium by Ajayi Joy from Ondo State and Faith Agbons from Edo State, while Adeyemi Christiana is the reserve referee.

“It’s a great honour to be appointed for this game, it’s massive for me and a privilege”, She told thenwfl.com.

Ikerebe is regarded as one of the best referees in the league and has previously officiated some of the biggest games in the Nigeria Women Premier League, having shown some great level of decency on the pitch, it’s no surprise that she was called upon for this game.

The 2019 Nigeria Women Football League Champions Shield game between Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens will hold on Saturday, the 24th of August 2019 at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.
