Following their retention in the Nigeria Women Premier League, Osun Babes FC have announced plans to restructure the whole settings of the team.
In a rare situation, the team’s management asked the technical crew and backroom staff to step down and reapply before the 22nd of October according to an official statement released by the Media Officer of the club, Mrs Funmilayo Moradeyo.
Meanwhile, the team manager of the club Kehinde Johnson told thenwfl.com that the restructuring was necessary following the outcome of last season’s result, where the team ended bottom in the group A of the NWPL.
“Following the review of the club’s performance last season, the management board decided to think out of the box and restructure the team so as to have a better performance in the upcoming season.
“Our main aim transform the club into achieving consistent success in the league and also the Federation Cup.
“The relieved technical crew and backroom staff are free to reapply if they are still interested in the job.” He concluded.
Osun Babes narrowly escaped relegation last season after recording just a point out of possible 18 points.
