Super Falcons and Dalian FC forward, Asisat Oshoala has praised the Falconets after defeating Tanzania 3-0 in the first round, first leg of the 2018 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifier at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on Saturday.

A brace from Rasheedat Ajibade and Lilian Tule’s free kick put the two-time World Cup finalists in a comfortable position ahead of the return fixture.

“I am very happy for the Falconets. The players have done very well and the coach Christopher Danjuma must also be hailed but it is not over yet,” Oshoala told Nwfl.com.ng.

“They must not be complacent ahead of the second leg because this is football. They must approach the second leg as if they are playing the first leg and should forget about the 3-0 win. That mentality can give them a ticket to the next round. I am proud of them and believe they will qualify for the World Cup in France,” she added.

The second leg will be played on September 30 at the National Stadium in Dar es Sallam, Tanzania.
