I am proud of my players despite the loss – Wemimo Matthew

The coach of Sunshine Queens football club of Akure Wemimo Matthew has shrugged off the defeat against Bayelsa Queens as she looks forward to victory against Rivers Angels on Sunday in the Super 4 losers final at the soccer temple, Agege.

“My players gave good account of themselves even though the effort of my strikers didn’t materialise in a goal” she explained to the NWFL Media.
It was an unhappy but a philosophical Wemimo that further explained that in every match , you see the areas that needs attention and new players to bring in.

“It would be a consolation for my team to grab a third place in the over all log of the NWPL she concluded.
The Owena mermaids with her array of young and talented players dominated in the Super 4 opener against Bayelsa Queens but failed to score in the encounter.

Coach Wemimo Matthew is an ex falcons player with a vast coaching experience from the national teams.
