The Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria Women Football League, Alhaji Ayo Abdulrahman, has called on all the four participating clubs for the NWPL Relegation Play-Off, to abide strictly by the rules of the competition.
Abdulrahman, said in Abuja Friday, that, the four clubs: Dream Stars of Lagos, Invicinble Angels of Gboko, Osun Babes of Osogbo and Kaduna Queens will make things easy for the NWFL board, if they play by the rules in the one-day competition, where only two teams will be promoted out of four.
The C.O.O said: “If the clubs adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of the Play-Off, they will make things easy.
“When you know the rules, there is no need beating about the bush on matters relating to each of the two games that will be played on October 2, 2019 at the FIFA Goal Project, Package B of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
In the first game, Osun Babes will battle Kaduna Queens, while DreamStars Ladies of Lagos would slug it out for survival against Invincible Angels of Gboko.
Only the winners of the two games would stay back to continue playing in the Nigeria Women Premier League, while the losers will go into relegation waters.
