The Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), Aisha Falode, on Wednesday night announced that her board has great plans for the grand finale of the Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) Super 4 which has been scheduled for the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo State on Friday, October 13, 2017.
She revealed in an interview on Channels Television Sports Tonight, on Wednesday night that, Nigerians will be marvelled at the wonderful colours that would be given to the Super 4 final on Friday.
“We want to tell those who are watching us that we are serious minded and has finally moved women’s football in Nigeria to greater heights.
“For the closing ceremony, we shall be having an exhibition match between Edo Queens of Benin City and FC Robo of Lagos before the final match. The FC Robo team will arrive in Benin City on Thursday. This is aimed to give colours to the grand finale.
“Aside from the exhibition match, there will be series of entertainments, dance and comedy from prominent Nigerian artistes who will surely blow the minds of the people in Benin City.
“We expect such top notch performances to leave a lasting impression on the mind of the people that we are not just limited to playing and organising football alone.”
