Bayelsa Queens manager, Moses Aduku, told thenwfl.com that he wants Anjor Mary to continue with her goalscoring form ahead of the Nigeria Women Premier League Super 4.
The former Abia Angels forward six goals ensured that the ‘Restoration Ladies’ got qualification to the Super 4 and Moses Aduku feels the forward is so important to the team.
“She is no doubt an important player and one with a very bright future. The team is united and everyone play for each other but everyone can’t score at the same time, its a teamwork”. He told thenwfl.com
“Scoring five goals in six matches is a big feat and shows how talented she is. The bigger stage is upon us and I hope and pray that she performs better at the Super 4.
Anjor Mary was second highest goalscorer in the 2018 NWPL season behind Anam Imo and the top scorer at the AITEO Cup and now ended top scorer in the 2019 season with 5 goals. This Aduku thinks she deserves a place at the Super Falcons.
“Her level of consistency is overwhelming. She is a raw talent and one that inspires the team. She helps complement the effort of the great team we have here at Bayelsa Queens. She is young, enterprising and deserves a place at the Super Falcons.
Age shouldn’t be a barrier for the coach to select her for the national team. If you are good enough, you should be playing at the Super Falcons.
