Delta Queens head coach Clifford Chukwuma has vowed his side will be brave against Nasarawa Amazons when they meet in the Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) Super 4 competition today.

The Amazons are on top of the log with six points from two games, while the Kwale outfit have four points.

It’s the final game of the group stage for both teams as they meet at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Thursday afternoon. Kickoff is at 2pm.

“Nobody gave Delta Queens the chance to make a statement in Benin City,” Nwfl.com.ng reports Chukwuma as saying when asked about Delta’s exploits.

“But it has been a really tough group.

A draw or win will ensure Delta Queens join Nasarawa Amazons in the final of the Super 4 on Friday.

“We understand our mission having gone this far. My players have that in mind. Let’s face it, we’re against one of the best in the division and we have a lot of respect for them. We expect Nasarawa Amazons to play well and it will be complicated.

“We knew we were against three football powers in this group.

“We want to dominate games and close every space that we leave Nasarawa Amazons. They dominate possession but we aren’t your typical slouch team to sit with arms crossed.

“We are and will continue to be brave. What we do with the ball is as important as what we do without it. We will attack.”
