Black Princess midfielder, Patience Adjetey, thinks the Nigerian Women Premier League has made her a better player.

Adjetey, who plays for Nigeria Women Premier League side, Delta Queens, told that she is enjoying her time in Nigeria and hopes she wins a major title before leaving for Europe.

“No doubt, playing in the Nigeria Women Premier League has made me a better player. Everyday I learn new things and I am glad I came here to play. I have always dreamt of playing in the NWPL and playing with Delta Queens is a dream come true.

“The league is very competitive and you have to work really hard to win games. You have to be at your best always and play well to compete for titles. No one is favourite in the Nigerian Women Premier League.

Patience Adjetey’s compatriot Elizabeth Addo spent two seasons with Rivers Angels, she won the league title back-to- back in the 2013 and 2014 Nigeria Women Premier League seasons, before moving to Europe and Patience thinks she can follow in the footsteps of the Jiasung Sunin striker.

“She made a huge impact in the Nigeria Women Premier League and I want to do the same too. Winning the league title with Delta Queens will be a great achievement. I want to do that and I think I am with the right club.

“Winning the league means we have to push further when the second round resumes. I want to play more games, that means we have to be at the Super 4. I hope we can achieve that,” she told our reporter.
