Adamawa Queens Head Coach, Jacob Vandi is still basking in the euphoria of his team’s qualification for the 2019 NWPL Super 4. The young manager has also described his players as ‘special’.
Vandi, whose team ended the season with a 1-1 draw against Dream Stars Ladies at the Agege Township Stadium on Wednesday told Thenwfl.com that his players made him proud, and he is optimistic that they will do well in the Super 4, a fact which translates that the team will be gunning for the title.
In the aftermath of his team’s qualification for the Super 4, Vandi hailed his players as they look to play at the Champions playoff for the first time in their history.
“It is a dream come true. I have to thank the players who made me proud and the members of the club management. Its a real achievement for us. He told Thenwfl.com.
“When I saw the group we were drawn after the NWFL Congress in Abuja, I knew we were going to do well, probably top the group and we did just it.
“My players are special as they played to instructions in all our games. We didn’t drop any game and conceded just once in six matches.
“I really want to thank everyone that supported the team, including the fans and the management. We all made history together and we shall make more at the Super 4.” He said.
